Kitty Bytes - February 2006

We apologize for the delay in sending out this newsletter. We have experienced some technical problems with TCS in the past weeks and have now moved on to improved servers. With our ever growing list of subscribers for Kitty Bytes, we had to wait until the final move before we could release this mailing. Thank you for your patience in waiting for this to be released. We hope you all flock over to our cat forums to enjoy our new server and fast loading times!

Book Corner by Mary Anne Miller

Every month we will introduce a new book that we believe would benefit readers. This month:

One at a Time A week in an American Animal Shelter
by Diane Leigh and Marilee Geyer

The life of a shelter animal is tough and stressful. The authors skillfully remove the blinders placed on society in regards to shelter animals by allowing the reader to view the harsh realities of shelter life. Profoundly moving is an understatement. You will laugh, and cry and in the end, you will never be the same.

Final Thought-

This month final thoughts rest on the death of a beloved board member.

Cathi (blondiecat) joined TCS in May 2003. She did not go to New Cats first and introduce herself right away, instead, in typical Cathi fashion, she went to the posts of those who were hurting to try and help them. About a week later, there was an “OOPS' thread in New Cats where she officially said hello.

Cathi has now passed away. We lost her to the angels on January 24, 2006. Her cyber-friends are stunned and saddened by this sudden goodbye. She will be remembered for her resilience, courage, optimism, sincerity, and humor; but more importantly her selfless loving service to those in need.

God sent us an angel on May 29, 2003. He has now called her home. We will miss you my friend. You were a bright light for many who were caught in the darkness.

Life is short - Be good to yourself~
