April is about fresh beginnings, as our cats and, hopefully, we as well, are coming up out of our winter routines and into spring time! For the felines, this often means shedding that old winter coat in favor of a lighter version, so we focus our attention on coat grooming this month. We invite you to read our article about coat grooming routines.

While on the topic of spring and fur, you may also want to re-visit our article about cat fleas, and it wouldn't hurt to take a second look at the topic of hairballs either.

Last, but not least, keep an eye on our contests, as the Picture of the Month contest for April will focus on feline coats caught on camera. We're going to have some great prizes too, courtesy of JW Pet company, makers of the GripSoft line of cat grooming tools!

As for us humans, while we don't shed fur, many of us find that spring triggers an urge to shed some of our earthly possessions.
